Timeliness- New Englanders Dig Out After Snowstorm
There is snow in 49 out of the 50 states and New England is having a hard time digging out. This is timely because everybody is digging out.
Relevance- Omaha Teacher to Stand Trial on Sex Charges
He is accused of sexually assaulting two children. This story takes place in Omaha.
Magnitude- More than 500 Dead in Brazil Flooding
A killer flood hit Brazil killing over 500 and injuring many more. This has a very high magnitude of deaths
Unexpectedness- Stampede Kills 100 in Southern India
A stampede of people in india killed over 100 people and injured 14. This seems pretty unexpected to me.
They are debating the repeal of Obama's Healthcare Overhaul Bill. This would effect the entire United States.

Steven Tyler is an American Idol Judge. They say its difficult to tell if he's promoting the show or himself

Giffords remains in critical condition, but is almost ready to get rid of the breathing tube. She is bringing new hope to her family.

Boy's Sacrifice Saves Brother
A mother and her two boys were driving in a vehicle, when they got caught in the flood. The rescuers got to the 13 year old boy but he let his ten year old brother go first. Both himself and his mother were taken away by the flood, but the 10 year old survived.

A video was taken on a bus. People were fighting and it was caught on tape.

Mass Shooting in Tuscan, Arizona
A man went on a mass shooting that killed six people, and injured several others. The man is pleading insanity.
How do you think he should be punished? Should the insanity change anything?
In the middle of the night the mother was awaken by the baby's screams. She got to his room and saw that the boy was missing 7 fingers that the ferret had eaten. The parents are being charged for neglect.
